FMCAARC ECHOLINK PROJECT
OUR PRESIDENT HAS ASKED JAY TO HEAD A COMMITTEE TO BEGIN AN ECHOLINK NET CHECK BACK FOR PROGRESS. Jay Starks, W4PVN is heading up a project to establish an EchoLink path and net for the ARC.  You can see by the example below that you can be located in a RV park in whowouldhavethoughtit, Arizona and check into a net or have a mobile QSO across the country or around the world via a VHF transmitter and the internet.  Mobile station A transmits to a repeater that is tied to a PC with an internet gateway the transmission
then goes to the internet
as a digital signal to a PC
across the country and
back on the air again via
another transceiver to
another mobile rig operating
in area B.  EchoLink
can also be used mobile
to PC or PC to PC. This
is an ongoing project with
objectives to begin a net
using EchoLink.
